VitaPulse is a wearable-focused health tech platform aimed at detecting cardiac arrest / critical events in real time using smartwatch sensor streams (initially Samsung Wear OS devices). It’s designed as an end-to-end system: a watch app + companion mobile app + backend services that collect high-frequency time-series data (e.g., heart-related signals delivered in short packets), run real-time prediction algorithms, and trigger an alerting workflow when risk is detected.

The client needed a reliable way to turn high-frequency smartwatch sensor streams into real-time, actionable cardiac event detection, but faced challenges with device integration, low-latency processing, and scalable data storage across users/projects.

Built an end-to-end platform: Wear OS + Android app + real-time backend for streaming and predictions
Integrated Samsung health/wearable data pipelines and implemented low-latency WebSocket ingestion
Implemented a scalable storage strategy (local SQLite + cloud/edge Turso) and multi-project access controls
